🗣️ How to adjust Annie's greetings 🗣️

The initial greeting between your patient and Annie is key. It captures the patient’s attention and sets expectations for the rest of the conversation.

Updating Annie's WebChat Greeting

  1. Log into your Annie portal.

  2. Navigate to the left sidebar and click on “Settings.”

  3. Select Agent Persona 
  4. Add your desired chat greeting to the Chat Greeting section
  5. Scroll down to the bottom and click Save

Note: The chat window will display the greeting exactly as written at the start of the conversation.

Updating Annie's Phone Greeting

  1. Log into your Annie portal.

  2. Navigate to the left sidebar and click on “Settings.”

  3. Select Agent Persona 
  4. Add your desired chat greeting to the Phone Greeting section
  5. Scroll down to the bottom and click Save

Note: The chat window will display the greeting exactly as written at the start of the conversation.

Setting Up an After Hours Phone Greeting

Annie will play your After Hours Phone Greeting whenever your office is closed. Annie will use your office hours and office closures to determine when to play the After Hours greeting. To set an after hours greeting, do the following:

  1. Log into your Annie portal.

  2. Navigate to the left sidebar and click on “Settings.”

  3. Select Agent Persona 
  4. Click the After Hours Greetings, located right below the Phone Greetings box in the bottom right.
  5. Add an After Hours Phone Greetings
  6. Scroll down to the bottom and click Save

Annie Greetings Recommendations

  • Keep your WebChat Greeting nice and short. People are used to chatting with chatbots 
  • Inform the caller that they are interacting with an AI agent in your Phone Greeting. People respond better when they know they are interacting with an AI agent instead of finding out later.
  • Inform the caller that they are talking to Annie because the office can't come to the phone or the office is closed in your Phone Greeting
  • Always end a greeting with a question for the patients (I.E. "How can I help you?")

Potential Greetings

  • "Thank you for calling [Office Name]. Our team is unable to come to the phone right now, however I am Annie, the office's AI assistant. How can I help you today?"
  • "Hello! I am Annie, the office's AI assistant. I can assist with scheduling or answer questions. How can I help you?"
  • "[Office's Name]'s office. This is Annie, the AI agent. How can I best assist you today?"
